unitednationsplaza is pleased to present a public program of video screenings organized by Martha Rosler in conjunction with her seminar entitled Art & Social Life; The Case of Video Art.

The video program will present a selection primarily of early video works from the personal archive of Martha Rosler. These works range in date from the late 1960s to more contemporary work, and with a few exceptions, they were made in the United States. The program will include works rarely seen and largely excluded from the canonical history of video art and others that form the core of early video histories as now written.

This program will be free and open to the public daily at the screening room of the unitednationsplaza, from Monday, December 11th, through Sunday, December 17th. For exact screening hours please see the program below. Some of the works in the screening program will also be screened, in whole or in part, during Martha Rosler’s evening seminar sessions.
