Sulki and Min: Interpolation

As the title inaccurately implies, the exhibition presents works that explore intervals between two values. A thread is an interest in the accidents, patterns, and changes found in between defined coordinates. In terms of technique, the new works belong to our “Keynote videos”: a series of simple, barely-moving images produced using the Apple Keynote app (a PowerPoint for Macs). The narrative-free videos are repeated and overlapped following the functions, conventions, and limitations of the digital presentation tool, resulting in a kind of pseudo- or anti-video clips with unexpected effects.
