La boutique obscure
Each title of Munhakdongne’s Georges Perec series shows the same portrait of the author on the jacket, but the image is treated differently according to the themes of the content. According to the blurb, La boutique obscure is a “personal and poetic reflection on the 124 dreams scattered like pieces of a puzzle in the labyrinth of unconsciousness.” The author’s portrait on the cover is composed of the same picture of himself repeated numerously in different sizes, alluding to the introspective nature of the work. We had hoped that the number of the component images would be exactly 124, and we have not counted them yet.
