The logo spells out the full meaning of the shorthand name (which stands for “modern dance festival”). Pictograms of the human figure are variously combined to create festive ornaments, reflecting the theme of the festival. The design of the poster was considerably conditioned by economy: in addition to the standard poster, a smaller version for some poster stands was needed, and the budget was insufficient to produce both. As a solution, the standard poster was designed such that it could be cut in the middle and divided into two smaller posters, while still making sense in either form. To maximize the cost efficiency, the poster was also folded and bound with the program as the cover, adding extra colors to the otherwise sparse two-color booklet.
