United Notions is an ongoing “collaborative exhibition” project where design studios from around the world are invited to exchange briefs that introduce things unique to their own cultures. Each studio produces two posters: one with their own brief and the other as a response to the given one.
We exchanged briefs with the Swedish studio Stockholm Design Lab. We gave them nothing – there is no Korean word for it – and received allemansrätten: the freedom to roam, by which anyone in Sweden can access certain public or privately owned land for recreation and exercise. The posters were made as personal letters to our Swedish interlocutors.
